Due to ongoing health issues, Tim Allen stepped down as an elder. Recruitment of students for the NC School of Biblical Studies continued to be the biggest hurdle to overcome in a struggling economy. To that end, the elders decided to hire its first full-time instructor, Tim Canup. Tim had been a full-time minister at the West Jefferson congregation and was a regular teacher at NCSBS. Tim’s role would be focused on teaching two or three classes per quarter as well as doing some recruiting. This would help free up Mike to put forth even more efforts at recruiting.
