1960 Bulletins

One of the focuses of the 1960’s bulletins related to teacher training. There seemed to be a desire to train teachers and give them better resources to teach their classes. New classes began on Tuesday night with a Men’s Training Class and a Ladies Bible class although it was lamented in the March 13th bulletin that attendance was disappointing. Also of note, there was a concern in the February 20th bulletin that the Democrats were likely going to have a Catholic running for office in the 1960 election and it discussed the negative “Catholic attitude toward our country and public schools.” That very thing did happen in November with the election of John F. Kennedy.
