GOSPEL BROADCASTING NETWORK

The Gospel Broadcasting Network came on the air on November 26th at 12 midnight.  GBN is a network that is produced by faithful members of the churches of Christ.  It is a work overseen by the elders of the church of Christ in Dalton, Georgia.  However, not everyone will be able to view this program with ease.  It is currently on some satellite systems [C-band and Ku-band coordinates are available on their website, gbntv.org] and plans are in progress to negotiate with the Dish Network and Direct TV subscribers. Their satellite signal can be captured in the US, Canada, parts of Central America and the Caribbean.  In their Newsletter dated November 2005, they also offer an affordable satellite dish for $250 that will receive their signal and others as well.  If you are able to access their website, gbntv.org, they also stream their video there as well.  If you don't have a computer, you might go to your public library and access the internet there. Someone will be able to help you if you are the least bit shy around computers.

I have watched some of their programming and find that it is very profitable indeed.  There are programs for all ages, especially those who might be home schooled.  I am confident that their programming schedule will increase to offer a wide variety of additional viewings.  Jim Dearman, the Programming Director for GBN, will be with us in 2008 conducting our fall gospel meeting.   I encourage you to take advantage of this new opportunity to spread God's word with your friends and neighbors.
