TIME TO PREPARE IS NOW!

This past week, Governor Jeb Bush of Florida declared a state of emergency that resulted from the approaching storms/hurricanes, Bonnie and Charlie. Having just moved from a "Hurricane" state, South Carolina, I am familiar with precautions one must take to be prepared for violent storms and hurricanes.  Businesses are boarded up to keep from large insurance claims due to damaged merchandise.  Many times, people are asked to vacate their homes in the name of safety.  Grocery stores and building supply stores are often depleted of goods and shortages can be common. Law enforcement, rescue teams, emergency services and disaster preparedness workers are often called to maintain an alert status in the anticipation of such an event.

The religious world is well aware that Jesus will be returning.  Though Matthew records Jesus' words concerning the day and time of His return, [that which only the Father knows] there will not be time to prepare for His coming. The time to prepare for the coming of the Lord is now.  We need to obey the Gospel now, as there will not be a warning that will give us time to "vacate" from the wrath of God, nor will there found any sanctuary from punishment.
