SCHOOL UPDATE

We currently have fifteen (15) students at the North Carolina School of Biblical Studies. Six (6) of those students are full time and nine (9) are part time. This is more than we could have expected. When we began to plan the work back in May 2006, this number exceeds our expectations. I remember saying that "I will be happy if we have two or three." Fifteen is tremendous! We already have a student who will be enrolling for 2008.

Wednesday afternoon is a mandatory study time. You should have seen them this week. All of them were hunkered down on their desks with stacks of books surrounding them and you could have watched their hands meticulously making notations.

Managing time is top priority with our students. They must read at least 250 pages per week to keep up with their reading. They will be reciting 5-10 Bible verses each week. They will write about fifteen pages of composition over the eleven week quarter and spend about 72 hours in class and homework. Other than that, what else do they have to do? Five of them are currently involved with full time preaching work. They have families that need their attention, yards to mow, dinners to fix, laundry to wash, etc. You think that your week is full, come and spend some time with them and you will see students that know how to prioritize.

Isn't life in Christ Jesus all about making time for the things that are really important? How important is your level of Bible knowledge? Maybe you should think about taking a class next quarter.
