Like Driver, Like Car----
While driving behind an old beater car, we both came to a stop at the traffic
light. When the light changed to green, this old beat up heap in front revved up
and a huge billow of smoke came pouring out of the exhaust. Then I noticed that
with almost equal intensity, smoke began pouring out of the inside of the car as
well (its windows had been down). As I looked carefully, I noticed the guy was
huffing and puffing on a big cigar. You couldn't tell which cloud was the cigar
vapor or which was the auto's contaminant.
Well, indications are that the car's engine was in bad need of repairs. I could also make the same diagnosis with the driver, as both needed a vital fixing up. A few more miles like that and both will end up on the junk heap with leaky valves, oozing with nicotine and 10W30; especially the human pulmonary ones!
Maybe we could all use a spiritual tune up as well. You can only blow smoke for so long!
