Hero

What is a hero? A hero is someone who risks his or her life for someone else. I have a list of some heroes: doctors, firemen, policemen and people of our military. All of these people do heroic things to help others. Of all these heroes, who is the greatest? The greatest hero is not on the list because he deserves to stand alone. You might be thinking…

"Who is this hero who stands on a pedestal by himself?" This hero is a man named Jesus.

To many people, Jesus has become their hero. To the blind, deaf, and the demon possessed, he was their hero because he healed their sickness. Jesus was a hero to his disciples. When a storm came upon the sea and they were afraid the boat would sink, Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea became calm.

He was a hero to those who had lost a loved one, by bringing them back to life. Jesus did many miracles and wonders but it cannot add up to what he did for the whole world. When Jesus went to the cross and died for our sins, he took our place and gave us life. So when you think about heroes, remember Jesus.
