HOW FAR WILL THEY GO?
A long-time leader in the extended fellowship movement among our brethren, the
Richland Hills Church, [I do not refer to it as a church of Christ] has
instituted a new practice concerning their worship schedules. With their
expanding numbers [6400+] they are attempting to resolve their seating problem
by establishing a third service. The following is pasted from their website

RHCC News
Saturday Night Worship Assembly will begin February 10, 2007. The schedule will be as follows: 4:00 PM - Star Time -Family Praise Experience. 5:00 PM - Worship Assembly. 5:00 PM - - Launch 252 - Children's worship and class time - take your kids straight to class at 5:00. 6:30 PM Classes for Youth in 24:7 and Adult classes. COMING IN MARCH 2007: Small Groups - Taste of Community FAQs About The New Weekend Schedule How will the Saturday evening assembly differ from Sunday morning, other than the addition of musical instruments? Saturday evening will be a more relaxed, casual atmosphere. The sermon will be the same both times. Some song selections may be different. Rather than in room 109, prayer response will be in the auditorium. Children fifth grade and younger will have their own class/worship assembly during the adult service.
Adding musical instruments to the worship assembly is not new for apostate churches but the new twist is that they are adding this new worship time on Saturday. I will have more to say about this in later bulletins.
