"You Just Never Know"

Fox news reported on December 11, 2004, that the long-time atheist, Anthony Flew, had changed his mind about the origin of the universe. Dr. Flew of Reading, England, had opposed the biblical creation theory of Genesis for over fifty years.  Although he has changed his position that the origin of the universe came into existence through some combination of molecules, he has not embraced a specific belief in the God of the Bible.

At age 81, after decades of insisting belief is a mistake, Anthony Flew has concluded that some sort of intelligence or first cause must have created the universe. A super-intelligence is the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature, Flew said in a telephone interview from England. [Associated Press, New York, December 9, 2004]

You might remember that Anthony Flew is the British professor of philosophy that debated our Thomas Warren [Warren-Flew debate: the existence of God].  Mr. Flew is 81 and our beloved brother Warren has passed from this life.  Had brother Warren been alive he might very well have corresponded with Mr. Flew to attempt to convert him.  I feel confident in the power of God's word that seeds sown decades ago could very well be producing fruit as we speak.  You just never know!
