BIBLE STUDY

I saw a video on the web that mentions a study done by Michael Lemonick about the ability that coffee has to stimulate the brain. Lemonick says that all stimulants affect the part of the brain that enhances memory and processes information.  In essence, it can make one smarter. Within the next few weeks I will be finishing our Wednesday night class on Romans.  It has taken a lot of time to discuss this book, but I feel that we need to give sufficient time to textual classes in order to glean as much as we can from it. I have been contemplating the study of Revelation.  When we do study the book, it will be from a topical perspective and not a verse-by-verse study.

Since we have studied Acts, Galatians, and Romans verse-by-verse, I want to change direction for a while.  How We Got The Bible will be our next course of study.  Several have expressed interest in the origin of God’s word and I am excited about teaching this study. In the class, we will discuss manuscript evidence, canon of scripture, and the printing of English translations and much more.  It will be a good study and one in which I think that I will need to drink a lot of coffee!
